Mark McClendon

Mark McClendon is both a media strategist and evangelist, who came to Southeast Asia in 1985 to bring Christ to Southeast Asia through the power of media in the marketplace. In 1998, he founded the ministry of The Christian Broadcasting Network in Indonesia, a ministry that produces a variety of strategic contextual programming/content that airs on major national television networks, regional stations, and cable networks with over 20 million broadcast viewers.

He is also the Founder of Obor Berkat Indonesia (OBI), a Christian humanitarian and disaster relief organization in Indonesia. OBI does extensive disaster relief work, medical outreach, community development efforts, education, and scholarship programs. In 2012, he founded CBN in Myanmar as the first Christian indigenous TV programming to be broadcast by the government there in 50 years.

In 2015, he took on established CBN ministries in Thailand and Cambodia as CBN’s Regional Director for Southeast Asia, and has started CBN ministries in Vietnam, South Korea, and Malaysia. He is launching significant media and church-based initiatives in Southeast Asia especially related to children, youth and family. He has been a global activisit for the 4-14 Window Global Leadership team, and chaired the Global 4-14 Window Summit in Bangkok in October, 2013.
