Dr. Corneliu Constantineanu

Dr. Corneliu Constantineanu is the Professor of Public Theology at “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, Romania, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences where he also leads the department of theology for all programs (BTh, MTh, PhD) and the Research Center for Intercultural and Interconfessional Studies.

He has completed his doctoral studies in theology at the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies and the University of Leeds, UK, with an interdisciplinary research in Pauline and contextual theology about the social dimension of reconciliation. His habilitation was obtained at Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania with a thesis on Faith and public life. Biblical foundations for a public theology of engagement in Eastern European context.

He is a member in the European Council for Theological Education, INFEMIT and Langham Partnership International Council. He is a promotor of a holistic understanding of the gospel as public truth, thus trying to integrate Christian faith with cultural, social and political realities of everyday life.
